XS was commissioned to create SCRIM for Dumbo Art Festival 2013. Sarah Strauss and Karin Tehve designed SCRIM using a halftone dot matrix of a lace detail. The final work was 20 feet x 8 feet and comprised of more than 5000 blue office dots of various sizes ranging from 1/4 inch to 1 1/4 inch. 11 students participated in creating the piece, carefully applying dots for 5 hours.
